Check Inside
Look under the kitchen sink. Lead is dull grey and goes shiny if you scratch it.
Check Outside
Check where the pipe comes in outside, near the boundary stop cock.
SUSPECT A WATER LEAK?
Take a meter reading.
Note the numbers on your water meter.
Time it right.
Use no water for an hour, then read it again. If it has moved, you may have a leak.
